I did cut my hair, right after because it felt defiled and I wanted to prove something to myself.
That was seven years ago.
I recently started dating a wonderful guy. My first relationship at the age of 24.
The other day he told me I wasn’t like the other girls he’s dated. When I asked him, “How so?”, the first thing out of his mouth was, “Well for one thing you have short hair.”
I’m taking it as a sign that my attacker was dead wrong.—
